In the high hills

In the high hills

We are indeed fortunate to be able to work in such a special place, where tradition blends so magically with passionate commitment, spurring us on to give our very best.

This growing area, between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano in the high hills of the Veneto, with the Alps looming up behind, is the magic-filled place where our vines grow. The most classic growing sites, the most striking hills, the most dedicated grapegrowers, the most expert winemakers: a mosaic of elements that marry together in our Prima Cuvée.

Prima Cuvée

Prima Cuvée

Prima Cuvée is not simply a winery; it is above all a cadre of wine lovers, all with deep roots in the world of wine, who share the common objective of creating sparkling wines of great character that can be enjoyed by all.

Giving our best

Giving our best

We utilise cutting-edge technology and invest great resources in our winery, but we realize that the secret of our success lies above all in our access to the finest grapes, grown in priceless sites, and with the assistance of long-experienced agronomists and winemakers who are motivated to give their very best. The grapes that come from our vineyards and from those of trusted growers are picked exclusively by hand, then rigorously examined for quality and immediately transported in small boxes to the cellar, where the clusters are gently pressed in our membrane presses.

A synthesis of expertise

A synthesis of expertise

Our vinification method speaks volumes about our passion for natural wines: gravity-settling of the musts, fermentations that carefully respect the fruit and its terroir, and careful monitoring to ensure maximum cleanliness in every step of the production process. Making wine, and making it well, is like a cocktail: start with a solid base of scientific know-how, then add a dose of good old experience, a drop of intuition, and a pinch of creativity, and voilà, Prima Cuvée!

Excitement and personality

Excitement and personality

Elegant, complex fragrances; a delicate bead of pin-point bubbles; a vivacious yet silky palate: here is the quintessence of impressions imparted by our sparkling wines. We are justly proud of what we are creating, and more than ready for the challenges that the future holds for us: world-class sparkling wines that everyone can savour, wines rich in personality, easily enjoyed, wines that convey excitement and that make every moment truly memorable.

Prosecco Doc

Prosecco Doc

Cultivating the Vine

The magnificent hills of Treviso, just a bit north of the Venice of the Doges, form the unique habitat where we grow the glera grape that yields this Prosecco Extra Dry. The significant day-night temperature differentials make this terroir one of Italy’s finest for the production of crisp, aromatic sparkling wines.

Making the Wine

After separating the berries from the stems, we gently press them, then let the must clarify naturally, avoiding any forcing. After the initial fermentation, the wine rests a few months before undergoing a second fermentation, in accord with the Italian method.

Tasting Prosecco Doc

Fruit-rich impressions of peach and Golden Delicious apple, plus wisteria blossom, are on gorgeous display in this Prima Cuvée Prosecco. Enjoy it unhurriedly, with some friends perhaps, and pair it with some fish or with a vegetable risotto.

Valdobbiadene Docg

Valdobbiadene Docg

Cultivating the Vine

Artist Cima da Conegliano, in the 1400s, painted these DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills just as they are today: steep and difficult to cultivate. Pruning and harvesting must be performed by hand, the vineyard workers climbing up the vineyard-clad slopes, producing wines that are truly “made by hand”.

Tasting Valdobbiadene Docg

Varietal aromatics marry deliciously with rich flavours, all lifted by an elegant bead of bubbles. Fruity notes of apple and pear accompany aromas of citrus and blossoms. Enjoy its as a superb aperitif wine, or with seafood soups, vegetables, light-sauced pastas, fresh cheeses, and poultry and veal.

Albis

Albis

Cultivating the Vine

We grow the indigenous grape varieties most classic to our local growing area, in the stretch of hills . A rich diversity of soils and site exposures, of fragrances and flavours, all melding harmoniously together to form a complex that represents the highest form of agriculture.

Tasting Albis

Fragrant with hawthorn blossom and spring wildflowers, the wine displays its multi-faceted personality in the mouth, crisp and supple, then concludes with an elegant finish, fruit-rich and near-endless. Enjoy it as an aperitif wine or with the straightforward dishes of authentic Italian tradition.

Zelda

Zelda

Cultivating the Vine

The raboso grape, a bit rough and headstrong, but with a heart of gold, gives this wine its rose-petal hue and its perfume of summertime hedgerows, with rich fragrances of blackberry and raspberry. The noble pinot noir grape completes its character, giving it finesse and elegance.

Making the Wine

After separating the berries from the stems, we gently press them, then let the juice in contact with the skins for a few hours. After a few weeks, we perform the second fermentation according to the Italian method, which yields a sparkling wine with an intriguing character.

Tasting Zelda

Its appealing hue is the most appropriate introduction to fragrances of roses and raspberries, of cherries and wild blackberries. Taste it and your thoughts will immediately turn to risotto or to goat or sheep’s cheese. Or deliciously paired with salmon or eel. And pizza? And why not?!
